Welcome to our online store.
We sadly announce that we will no longer be making any more of our Granny-Made® Sweaters and Hats.
Over the last 40 plus years we have rolled with the times. Wars, 9/11, financial meltdowns, covid, and now fascism. We re-invented our clothing mix. When we lost our lease we found a better store and a great landlord. For years we had our sweaters made in Peru and sold exclusively by us in our stores and online. We were early to the internet, but crushed by it and Amazon. We kept going through 40 years of ups and downs...continuing online. One woman has been designing and making our sweaters & hats for more than a quarter century, and it's time she retired her knitting machines for a long over due rest. Without you, Ruth Hornbein, we would have never gotten this far-Thank you.
With all that said, we will continue to offer the beautiful sweater and hat set that "Luba-Robert" graciously makes "one of" for us from her extensive collection. I will continue to offer Our Perennial favorite The ABC Wall Hangings. We haven't shut down, just adjusting again to the time.
